Cristy’s special approach to developing performing artists is to find & focus on their strengths. Drawing on a Broadway career that includes the original cast of Wicked, as well as Chicago, Aida, & Rock of Ages, Cristy digs deep into the mindset of a successful performer & collaborator. Her masterclasses are full of positive energy, challenging & fun lessons, as well as invaluable wisdom from a lifetime in acting, singing, & movement. Cristy also shares real-world advice for how to navigate professional situations & relationships, the insider information that comes from years of experience, mistakes made, and lessons learned. Students come away not just with practice & feedback, but also tips & tricks for carrying themselves into the world of performing arts with confidence & a sense of self.

  • Cristy’s Masterclasses all begin with her “Life Lessons from Broadway” presentation, including a live performance and Q&A.

  • Age- & skill-appropriate lessons & activities tailored to your students’ interest & needs.

  • One-hour presentations and classes for groups of 20-40 start at $750.

FOCUSED CURRICULUM AREAS

  • Cristy conducts masterclasses that can focus on just one area for your students, or a combination of areas. For multiple sessions, Cristy can devote each one to an area of your choice.

  • Cristy tailors her Makeup & Hair Masterclass to any period or theme that your group needs. From the look of 1950’s GUYS AND DOLLS to the wild 1980’s of ROCK OF AGES, your students will learn from Cristy’s live demo and practice hands-on the application of stage makeup and doing their own hair. Knowing these skills creates independent and versatile performers at any age.

  • Cristy loves supporting the current shows that students and teachers are working on. Invite Cristy to come watch rehearsal, offer inspiration, inject new energy, and give valuable feedback from an experienced Broadway veteran.

one-on-one coaching

  • Receive personal coaching and feedback geared just to your individual needs and growth.

  • Cristy prepares students for the challenges of working in the theater industry, including preparing for professional and school auditions, working on scenes, and regular practice.

  • Fees start at $100/hour.

BROADWAY BIO

Cristy began as an early ballerina and after acquiring her BFA in Dance and Theater from Loyola Marymount University, Cristy became a professional dancer and subsequent triple threat, performing at The Kennedy Center, The United Nations, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and in major blockbuster Broadway hits such as Aida, the original cast of Wicked, Chicago, and Rock of Ages.  Cristy is on the cast album for Wicked and played the principle role of Nessarose for over three years on Broadway and in the Los Angeles first national tour.  She also had the good fortune of performing at the Superbowl, on the Tony Awards shows, in Times Square, and at Madison Square Garden.
